Time with Daddy

So I think Nick is getting settled into his new full time job as "Stay at Home" Dad!

Finnegan and his father have been enjoying their days together so far.

I love this time of year.
Man do I love it.

We went to Hobart IN. with Nick's folks this weekend and got apples, doughnuts, popcorn, and caramel apples (rolled in PRETZELS) which by the way hats off to the person who came up with THAT combo. DEELISH.

The weather was and is still amazing.

I'm digging it.

Busy week this week, going out with a friend tonight after work, and putting the final planning into my sister's Bachelorette party! CAN"T WAIT. That event alone should make for a few colorful posts :-) Have a great week everyone.

New Office Digs

OPEN BOOKS HEADQUARTERS

Most of my week this week has been getting our new office ready.

We are in the River North area, 213 W. Institute Place

As you can see, it is very colorful.

We all picked our own office color, mine, shockingly I know, is pink!

We also painted a lot of cool and inspiring reading quotes.

FOX-Y

So I am back to work.
And this has been a BIG week.

Moved into our new office! Pictures to come soon.....

Hired a new employee! Her name is Erin, she is great.

And FOX news Chicago was here today to do a segment on Open Books. They interviewed both Stacy and I and I think it went pretty darn well :-)

Whew! Back into the swing of things I go.

The baby has been super chill for Nick this week, they are great pals together and we seem to be settling into our new schedule pretty well.

I have been wanting to start my own personal blog for awhile.
My dear friend emily has one, and I really enjoy checking it out from time to time and reading about what is going on in her life.
I have one at work and enjoy that too.....
so I started this blog while sipping on a strawberry mango bubble tea. It was delicious.
